Thanks for checking in on me. All is well. The firemen are doing their best to keep the fires away from any homes closest to me – and while several of our friends have had to leave their houses, and several others have lost their homes – or have returned to neighborhoods where their neighbors have lost their homes – we are all relatively safe and unaffected. Thank goodness for small miracles.

With all of this going on the nausea from the medication isn’t so bad. And Jackson seems to be unaffected by all the hoopala going on, too. He’s as hyper and mischievious as ever.

Rolf you are SO Old Testament! I never pegged you for being such a traditionalist. Maybe you’re a closet Baptist? I’m just sayin’ I’ve now got this mental picture of you playing with rattlers and speaking in tongues.

CeCe gets me to speak in tongues all the time so don’t feel bad about it. I wont mess with rattlers though, that’s just crazy!

My first reaction was to pray for the safety of you and your family. But damn, I never learned to pray properly. I generally only have my palms together when I’m getting ready to spread some KY Warming Gel on a hot little teen.

Besides, as I mentioned to you earlier, if the fires are close to you I suspect it’s because you’ve offended God (with all the filthy sex talk) and he wants to scare the shit out of you. That is how it works, right? Vengeful God, fire and brimstone, etc??

So, instead of wishing you well, I’ll wish you whatever your karma dictates.
